CLV490 Bar Code Scanner

Operation

Note At a scanning frequency of 1,000 Hz, the typical response time for focus adjustment is

20 ms, or 30 ms if the entire range (between min. and max. focus position) is traversed.

The CLV490 does not switch over the focus until the defined timeout has elapsed and the

new focus position exceeds the parameterized hysteresis value relative to the old focus

position. If the new focus position is within the hysteresis, the CLV490 does not switch over

the focus.

Depth-of-field optimization with respect to the object and the purpose of depth-of-field

optimization are described in Chapter 3.2.1 Autofocus function, Page 3-7.

2. Configure autofocus Additionally for autofocus mode "Differential background“ ’
